The Town of Pinetops water operations has four wells and two water towers providing water services to not only residents and businesses within City limits but also in other portions of the County as well, including the three major public schools in the area with an average student body of 1,500 students.

Frequently Asked Questions
How could I have used this much water?
You may not have - the numbers on your meter may have been transposed or hard to read. You could possibly have a leaky toilet or faucet that's difficult to detect. Just call the office and we'll work with you to solve the problem.
My bill is past due can I get an extension?
Please contact our office to speak with the Town Staff regarding an extension.
What do I do if I am experiencing low pressure?
Please call our office and report any low pressure issues.
Why do I have a previous balance when I know I sent in my payment?
We may have received it after the due date or we may not have received it at all. Call our office and we will help you solve the problem.
Whom do I call in case of a water leak or burst pipe?
Please call the Town Hall at 252-827-4435, or the Police Department/Dispatch at 252-827-5014 on nights/weekends and we will send a Public Works technician out to turn off your water until the leak is fixed.
When are utility bills due?
Utility bills are due by the 5th of each month unless it falls on a weekend then it will be the following business day. There is a grace period from the 5th to the 15th before bills are considered late. On the 16th a $10 late fee will be applied and on the 17th there will be a $35 delinquent fee charged and services will be disconnected.
How much is the deposit to start services?
Renters: Electric $250 & Water $100
Homeowners: Electric $75 & Water $50
Return Customers after 90 days (left owing a balance): past due balance must be paid in full, Electric $325 & Water $150
The deposit amount can also be separate if there is only one service provided by the Town Of Pinetops at the property.
